When an order is placed on Foraged for a Shopify product, we automatically send the order details to your Shopify store. While the payment remains on our platform until the order is delivered (see more about withdrawals below), you can manage the order in Shopify just like any other order.
Each order we send to Shopify includes the following information:
- Product(s) with their product_id and/or variant_id
- Total dollar amount
- Quantity
- The channel (Foraged) where the order came from
- Shipping address
- Notes on the fees we charged for the order (see the withdrawal section for more details)
Our system continuously updates the order status. However, Foraged only takes action on two key events:
- Order in transit: When we receive this update, we send the customer an email notifying them that their order is on the way.
- Order delivered: Upon receiving this status, we notify the customer via email that their order has been delivered.
Once the order is marked as delivered, the funds are released and become available for withdrawal.
